Now, the problem is most agencies out there, they suck. They are not good at what they do. So today I’m gonna share with you three factors to consider before you hire any agency. Now, look, we have generated over a hundred million dollars in coaching and digital core sales. During that time, we have spent tens of millions of dollars on pay ads, Facebook, YouTube, and Google. You name it. We have hired and fired more marketing agencies than I could remember. And I’ve lost money on quite a few of them. And because I was learning how to work with them, how to get the most out of them. So here’s what you could take away. So during that time, some of them worked, some of them didn’t work. Some of them is just completely garbage. A waste of time.
Today we do all our marketing and sales in-house I have a team, but you may not be in a position to do that yet. So when you’re working with a marketing agency, question, number one, you have to ask the factor that you have to consider is this have they produced results. Now I know that sounds so simple, but I am shocked how many coaches, consultants, and experts, when they are hiring an agency, they don’t do their due diligence. You wanna talk to their references? Hey, you know, let me talk to some of the clients that you have worked with, or you are working with right now, what kind of results do they get? That’s number one, you got to check the references and knowing there’s no way a marketing agency could do everything.
That’s what I tried to do in the past. I want to hire one company and say, Hey, they could take care of everything, organic SEO. They could take care of YouTube. They could take care of pay. No, it doesn’t work that way. Chances are each marketing agency or expert. They focus on certain things. If they are talking with you and you are interviewing them and they say, Hey, we could build a website. We can do this and we can do this. And we can do this and do this and do this and do this, change this out. They’re 90 good, because a good marketing agency specialize, right? They specialize in certain areas of marketing. They could not be Jack of all trade. There’s no way just Facebook alone. That requires a lot of time and effort just to master all the changes that’s happening, right? Or just Instagram or just TikTok. So you wanna know their expertise, what they specialize in. Number one.
Number two, do they eat their own cooking? That’s a big one. Do they eat their own cooking? This eliminates 99% of agencies. You talk to. So as an example, if he’s an agency and say, Hey, I could help you to run Facebook ads. Okay. Are you running Facebook ads? How much you’re spending on Facebook ads, not for clients for yourself. Are you getting your clients from the vehicle, from the platform that you are helping me with? If you wanna hire someone to grow your Instagram, let’s say, how many Instagram followers do you have for your company? And usually what you’ll get is, well, you know, we focus on helping our clients. We don’t focus on ourselves, bullshit. If they don’t eat their own cooking, you do not hire them. If they are going to help you grow your Instagram, okay? You better have a lot of followers on Instagram. If you’re gonna help me with YouTube, you better have a lot of subscribers and views on your YouTube channel. If you’re gonna help me with that. They cannot just say I have produced results for these clients. No. Are you using the very vehicle and very platform that you are helping me with? If not, I’m not interested.
Number three, have they helped other businesses exactly like yours in the same niche, just because they have produced tens of millions of dollars in revenue, even hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue for a supplement niche. It doesn’t mean they understand your niche. Let’s say you are in the coaching relationship niche. Do they understand that niche? Because here’s what you don’t want. You don’t want to pay for their learning. You want someone who has already made the mistakes that other clients have paid for their learning. They’ve already gone through the school of hard knocks and they are helping you from that body of knowledge, right?
You don’t want to be the Guinea pig. How do I know? Cuz I’ve wasted millions of dollars, right? Being the Guinea pig and say they actually don’t know versus I want someone who have already paid for the education. Now I will hire them because I’m paying for speed. So those are the three factors. When you’re choosing a marketing agency, your marketing agency, if chosen, right, it could accelerate your growth. It could help you scale faster. And it would be a very powerful partnership. That’s great. The wrong agency. It would bankrupt. You, you will not get a client. You will waste your money and you waste a lot of time. Now it also goes back to, you got to know what you are doing. You could delegate. That’s fine. The agency could help you with the execution to save your time. But you cannot delegate something you don’t understand.
The reason I’m able to utilize these agencies because I know what I’m doing. I look at the copy. I know how to create offers. I know how to run teams. So then this way, I’m not just giving them money and hope and pray. They’ll bring me clients. I know exactly how it works. All the data.
